On October 5, 2023, longtime Arabian Horsewoman Renee Rodgers and her doctors discovered that she was in a fight against one of the rarest Ovarian cancers known.Up until that day, she had been busy preparing to continue her normal October pursuit, of heading out to join her sister Gena and partner Rob Long to the United States National Arabian Horse Show, as she has for the last 30 plus years as a dedicated Arabian Horse Association member and horsewoman who enjoys participating in a variety of venues.

In spite of heroic efforts, Renee ultimately lost her battle with the ferocious disease. The family is deeply grateful to the huge outpouring of support from her friends and equine community throughout several different communities before her passing--your thoughtfulness brought peace and healing to all.

Renee's unique gifts will live on through the Renee Rodgers Foundation, where money will be raised both to fight this disease and support efforts that support warriors. The AHDF is deeply grateful to be one of those recipients...truly Renee will be paying it forward, just as so many people have that have lost their battle but lived with more light thanks to the support of their Arabian Horse community.
