Celebrating the Life of A Great Horsewoman

On February 16, 2021 the great horsewoman and equitation instructor Gwen Nix passed peacefully at home at the age of 87 years. Mrs. Nix leaves a loving family of second and third generation horsewomen behind, along with literally hundreds of students of the art of horsemanship whose lives will be forever impacted by her insightful teaching, work ethic and warm encouragement over the many years of her professional life as a trainer, rider and instructor extra-ordinaire.

It is fitting for a woman who gave so very much of herself to so very many people that the family has selected the AHDF to be benefitted in memory of Mrs. Nix. She exemplified the definition of paying it forward on a daily basis, and the fund is honored to be able to continue her legacy going forward. Rest In Peace, great lady. You will be dearly missed.
